Setting up your employee's Social Security number is easy as 1 2 3, @actconstruction2.
You can go to the Payroll Taxes Setup and Compliance page and fill out the W-4 information of your employee, which includes the Social Security number. Let me guide you through the steps.
- Click Payroll from the left menu, then select Employees.
- Select the employee you want to enter a Social Security number. Or click Add an employee if you haven't them added yet.
- Hit the Edit Employee button.
- Then, go to the What are this employee's withholdings? section and click Enter W-4 form.
- Select Yes, I have Employee's W-4 Form. You'll be routed to the Payroll Taxes Setup and Compliance page.
- On the page, fill out the information as well as the Social Security number.
- Click Done once finished.
