Why can't I add prior payroll to a new employee?

it does not give me the option to add prior payoll or payroll history

Why can't I add prior payroll to a new employee?

Let me provide insights about adding prior payroll in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @lightingrus.

 

Once you run the payroll in QBO, the option to add prior or payroll history is unavailable. Yet, if you'd like to add it, you'll need to contact our Payroll Support to override the payroll for those employees.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter a brief description of your concern.
  4. Choose a way to connect with us: Start a chat or Let's talk.

Why can't I add prior payroll to a new employee?

@MichaelaS  Huh. Every time I think QBO couldn't be worse, I am unequivocally proven wrong.
