Why can't I delete myself from payroll?

Thanks for stopping by this afternoon, what you can do is make yourself inactive, rather than entirely delete yourself, this is because QuickBooks needs the information for tax purposes at the end of the year, but don't worry, when you set yourself inactive, you wont be charged for that employee slot. Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to Workers or Payroll menu, then select Employees.
  2. Under Action, select the drop-down beside Edit.
  3. Select Make Inactive.
