Why does all employees say paper check when I added their direct deposit?

There are possible reasons for this, sbstep.

Your employees pay may show as paper check depending on their profile's setup. This option is also visible when running payroll.

Let's review the payroll page to check if the payment option was set up as a paper check. If so, we can switch it to direct deposit. Here's how:

1. Click on Payroll on the left panel.

2. Select Employees from the options.

3. Search for the name of the employee whose payment method you want to change and click on their name.

4. In the employee's profile, click on Payment method and select Edit.

5. Then, click on the Payment method drop-down and choose Direct Deposit.

Here's how you can view and change it on the employee's paycheck:

  1. In the Run payroll page, tick the box next to your employee's name
  2. Click the drop-down under the name.
  3. You should see two options: Paycheck and Direct Deposit. You can switch it to Direct deposit.
