Allow me to show you where to go to check on the status of your PPP application. On the left-hand side of the screen, you'll find a Capital tab. This tab is where you'll be able to find any notifications or updates to your PPP loan application. I've also included a link to another article in which a fellow agent provided screenshots for you to see exactly where to click.

I'm also wondering how to check the status of the PPP loan. I've applied and gave the updated information on Sunday, and haven't heard anything since. There is no Capital tab to click on in my QuickBooks self employed account or any other mention about how to check my status.

For now, If your PPP loan application is received and approved, you'll receive a notification on the QuickBooks Capital dashboard and a confirmation email. You should see an email with the title "[your amount] from the Paycheck Protection Program for you." If you can't find it, search for the title in your inbox. Ensure you check your spam folder, and you have access to the email that is tied to your account.

My status page has said the same thing all week ..."application received". I chatted with a capital rep and they told me that it had gone to SBA and it was "in their hands now", which didn't sound right. I chatted again yesterday and was told that no one at QBO knows the status of the loans, only that they had been passed off. I asked it they went to Cross River (QBO lending partner) and the rep had no idea who/what that was. How can I find out where my app stands? Seems like new apps are being funded all around me and I have no informatin.

The information you've been given from our Capital rep about your PPP loan application is correct. We have sent in your app, but until more funds become available, it won't be processed. We'll then submit the app for you when the government approves more funds for the loans, and you'll receive email updates as well.

Thanks for getting back to me. According to the SBA website there are still funds available. Are you saying that my app, completed on 4/23/2020 and presumably ready to go when funds were released on 4/27/2020 can't be processed because there aren't any more funds available?
Anna S: I am in the same situation as Sauvie Island. Applied through Quickbooks Desktop on 4/24, 4/25 got a notice that my application needed more information - clicked on the link which asked me to consent to have my application processed by Cross River Bank. I provided the consent in the early morning hours of 4/25 and since then...nothing. Same chat with Quickbooks Capital, all they can see is that it was sent to Cross River Bank, who supposedly is processing it. Unknown if it has been sent at all to the SBA. This is a real issue for ALL OF US who have applied because if Cross River Bank is too bogged down or has some other issue sending to the SBA then we need to pick another bank to use to get our applications through. Your answer suggesting that funds are not available is concerning. The SBA has not run out of funding. If Quickbooks Capital cannot fund the loans and as such is holding applications, WE NEED TO BE TOLD THIS IMMEDIATELY. Please, for the sake of our nerves and sanity clarify what you meant about funds. Again, there IS NO FUNDING ISSUE PRESENTLY AT THE SBA. MONEY HAS NOT RUN OUT AS OF TODAY, 05/02/2020.

I know checking your PPP loan status is essential, so allow me to provide some more information about the process.
QuickBooks holds the PPP applications until they are submitted to banks (in your case Cross River Bank) to be approved or denied. You'll receive email updates on your loan status until the application is processed. There's no funding issue, but if the money for the loan runs out, we will hold your application until more becomes available and submit it for you.

If QBO capital still has my app, can someone tell me why my loan app hasn't been submitted to your lending partner? If it has been passed off, is there someone at Cross River who can provide an update?
Honestly I have been given four different answers from three different people (two of those answers are in this thread). I starting to lose confidence that anyone knows what is going on.
Hi, Sauvie Island. Our experiences are nearly identical with the application process and the different answers given every time we chat with support. I’m not sure what the purpose is in reps providing responses to posts that are essentially “non-responsive” - they don’t address the question. That said, I got an email tonight that said my application was approved. No loan commitment documents yet, and no confirmed amount, but I did receive a communication about status. The email it came from was [email address removed]. I was worried the email might get filtered out by my service provider, but nobody could tell me what email the notices would come from. I’ll let you know if I hear or get anything else regarding progress. Heard on news tonight that funds has been 60% run through (05/04/2020) so hopeful the banks move quickly.

If you applied for the PPP loan through QuickBooks Capital then you'll receive an email when there is an update to the status of your application. So keep an eye out for that email. In the meantime, follow this thread about the PPP. It has everything you need to know in one place.
