Hello, and welcome to the Community, maxbrownawell.
It sounds like you're following the right steps. According to our article on applying for a Paycheck Protection Program loan, you can check the status of your application once it's been submitted by accessing the QuickBooks Capital dashboard inside of your books. However, if you're unable to locate the Capital dashboard, there's other solutions we have to obtain the status of your application.
We're sending email updates to everyone who applied for the loan, so you'll indeed receive an email once we have news for you. There's also a process for if you want to manually check the status of your application. I've sent a private message your way so that we can go over further detail. I'm looking forward to discussing this with you there.
Hi BBB. If your application was already submitted, rest assured our team is working diligently to get your application processed. They will reach out to you via email as soon as any updates are available about your application.
Please though if you need anything else leave a reply below I'll be happy to help.
Hi gordcook1190. The QuickBooks Capital tab is on the left side of your screen near the bottom of the list of tabs. Here's a quick screenshot of what it should look similar to.
Please let me know if there's anything else I can do. I hope you have a great day.

I would like to find out the status of my ppp loan. I have not received anything to even say that it was submitted and I cannot find a Capital Dashboard in my QB's. If you could help me, I'd appreciate it.
Hello, Momi. You've come to the right place. The Community is here to help.
After applying for a Paycheck Protection Program loan through QuickBooks Capital, all status updates will be communicated through email. If you haven't received any correspondence from us, then we don't have any updates yet. Definitely keep an eye on your inbox for any communications and rest assured that you'll hear from us once we have news about your application.
Here's an article about the program which may be useful to you: What you need to know about the Paycheck Protection Program
If there's anything else I can assist with, feel welcome to reach out to me anytime. Have an awesome day!
I would like to check the status of my PPP application, but there is no "CAPITAL" tab, icon, anything showing in my QuickBooksSE. It appears something happened as I noted an inquiry on my credit monitoring. It would be nice if QuickBooks at least sent an acknowledgement of receipt, especially with the application deadline so close. Am I okay for applying as long as I did it by June 30th, regardless of when approved and dispersed? Tnx for any assistance.
I'm here to share some information about Paycheck Protection Program loan application, DCTV
Once your application is received and approved, you'll get a notification on your QuickBooks Capital dashboard. We'll also email updates to everyone who applied for the loan. You can open your inbox and search the email with the title "[your amount] from the Paycheck Protection Program for you." Also, please make sure you have access to the email that is tied to your account and check your spam folder.
The deadline to apply for a Paycheck Protection Program Loan is June 30, 2020. If you're still unable to get any confirmation email, I would recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care Team. So, as noted earlier, I do not have "Capital" showing as an option anywhere. I did contact support and spoke to a person who sent me a link for a chat specific to PPP. I followed the directions, opened the window, provided my information, asked my question, and 5+ hours later the window remains open with no reply.
All I want to do is make sure the application is received okay and in progress.
Good day, DCTV.
After you submitted the application, all updates will be sent through email. Our dedicated team will contact you using the email address you applied with.
If there's no email, it means our team doesn't have any updates yet. I suggest keeping an eye on your inbox for any notification about your application.

As my peers stated above, you can either check the status from the Capital tab, located on the left-hand side. Or, you can wait for a notification email that has info on the status of your loan application.
Once you get a hold of the loan, see this article: Track how you use your Paycheck Protection Program loan. Scroll down and look for the QuickBooks Self-Employed link for the specific steps for QuickBooks Self-Employed.

A couple of notes here.
QuickBooks Self Employed, for me, does not show a Capital tab on the left, nor anywhere. I use the online version. I don't know if that is why.
Secondly, I was provided with a link to chat regards this, which did not appear to work. I, generally, use Chrome for my browsing. It occurred to me to try a different browser. The link did connect me to a chat with an agent via Edge. This may be of assistance for someone else.
I'd like to provide a few information, DCTV.
QuickBooks Capital will notify you via email about your loan application status. In QuickBooks Online, you can check the status in the Capital tab, but if not, you'll have to wait on the email update.
You can keep an eye on this link. It has helpful information regarding PPP loan.
