I updated QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2018 to the latest release. I click the Start Now button under Paycheck Protection Program but nothing happens. What should happen?

I want to ensure that you're able to start the Paycheck Protection Program. With that being said, let's go ahead and try some troubleshooting steps. 

 

Since you're having problems performing tasks, let's verify and troubleshooting QuickBooks Desktop and Internet Explorer. This is used if you're having difficulties updating your payroll or completing tasks. 

 

First, download and install the QuickBooks Tools Hub. This helps fix common errors. 

 

Here's how:

  1. Close QuickBooks. 
  2. Download the QuickBooks Tool Hub file. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it. 
  3. Open the file you downloaded and follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions. 
  4. When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub. 

Next, run the Quick Fix my Program:

  1. In the QuickBooks Tools Hub, click Program Problems
  2. Select Quick Fix my Program
  3. Start QuickBooks Desktop and open your data file.

  1. In your QuickBooks, open the Help menu.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Continue.
  5. You can choose a support option then wait for the representative that will be on the line.

For me to make sure we're on the same page, we're you able to perform the steps provided by colleague Kendra H above? If not, I recommend performing so to isolate this issue.
