PPP Application for separate companies in Desktop Enterprise Solution

I have 2 different companies that I manage under Desktop Enterprise Solution. Each has a separate EIN and a separate file. I applied for PPP under the first company and it went fine. When I closed that file, opened the second company and tried to "Start Application", it came up with "Application Recieved." These are 2 different companies, EINs and Owners. What the solution to apply for PPP for the second company?

Thank you for the help. I was able to fix the problem (I think) based on editing the company profile.

I went to MY COMPANY,

Then Edited "COMPANY INFORMTION"

I changed the "PAYROLL CONTACT" to my wife (who owns that company, even though I help with QBs).

Saved the new information, closed and restarted QB.

When I retried the PPP application, it allowed me submit for this company.

Thanks for the help, and hopefully this will solve the issue for someone else.

Hey there, Paul_W. The Community is here to help with any questions you have.

When applying for the Paycheck Protection Program through QuickBooks for two different companies, you'll want to make sure that the main person on the first application isn't the same as the person used on the second application. The Small Business Administration has confirmed that a person can only receive one loan. You'll also want to confirm that the bank accounts being used for each application are different.

If you still receive a message saying that the second application has already been received when you try to start it, I'd recommend trying to close and reopen QuickBooks to see if this changes anything for you.

If the issue continues, you can apply for the loan outside of Intuit as well. If you do this, you'll have to find a 7(a) lender approved by the Small Business Administration. You can use the new Aid Assist feature on our website or the SBA's Find Eligible Lenders tool to find one who's local to you.
