"The QuickBooks Capital online forgiveness application experience is not yet available."
My question is when will it be available? Every company that I know of who received a PPP Loan through another banking institution has had their PPP Loans forgiven late last year. Just like many small businesses that used Quickbooks Capitol for their PPP Loan, we are still trying to make ends meet and do not need the added stress of wondering what is going to happen with our loan. Will they be forgiven? will it be to late by the time Quickbooks Capitol comes up with their experience and have to pay the entire amount back in full?
These are legitimate questions we need answered sooner than later! Every post I read about PPP Loan Forgivness, someone from Quickbooks answers back with useless information. This is pitiful and they should be ashamed of themselves. The people who applied for these loans through Quickbooks Capitol are your Small Business Customers using your software!!!!!!! Do we need to look elsewhere for our accounting software?
We are tired of the excuses and need someone at Quickbooks or Quickbooks Capitol to step up and give us the opportunity to get our PPP Loans forgiven. So I ask again, when will we be able to apply for PPP Loan Forgiveness with Quickbooks Capitol?
Thank you for providing details, kvmt.
I can imagine what you must be going through and I appreciate your patience.
We're doing best to make this available through QuickBooks Capital. However, we still don't have a specific date for the Loan forgiveness to be ready.
In the meantime, you can mail your paper loan forgiveness application to the address provided below:
Attn: PPP Loan Forgiveness Processing
2700 Coast Avenue
Mountain View, CA 94043
I've also included this article that you can use as a reference: Paycheck Protection Program loan forgiveness. It shares guides about frequently asked questions about PPP Loan Forgiveness.
I want to make sure I've got you covered. You can click the Reply button below if you still have questions or clarifications about the Paycheck Protection Program. I'll be in touch. Keep safe!
I too have gotten the run around from their customer service. Giving me numbers to call but not one can help me apply for the ppp forgiveness. I was happy when I got the loan and could see the information on my QuickBooks. Now everything is gone. I can’t file for the forgiveness! I am so upset!!!!
This must be a challenging experience for you, PamBaum.
But I'm here to ensure that you'll be able to apply for PPP loan forgiveness. Usually, you'll receive an email that contains instructions on how to apply for a PPP loan forgiveness.
If you didn't receive an email, I suggest getting back in touch with our PPP Support. I know you've already contacted them. However, they can check your loan information and verify why it's no longer on your QuickBooks account.
There are two ways to reach them. Here are the following.
They are available Monday-Friday 6 AM - 6 PM PST. Our support hours exclude occasional downtime due to system and server maintenance, company events, observed U.S. holidays and events beyond our control.
For now, you can check the instructions to the applicable PPP loan forgiveness application (3508, 3508EZ, or 3508S) for a list of documents that borrowers must retain, and the amount of time that such documents must be retained. Note that there are separate documentation requirements relevant to each application.
I'm also adding this link for additional instructions and guidance: How to get your Paycheck Protection Program loan forgiven.
Let me know how the contact goes by commenting below. I'll be around whenever you need additional information about the application.
We also did the first PPP via Quickbooks Capital and submitted our loan forgiveness application to the email address:
ppp at intuit dot com
They will send a confirmation it has been received. We sent ours back in April and received a confirmation. Our loan was forgiven a few days ago.
I hope that helps.
I've gone through this very frustrating process and am now on the other side where my loan has been forgiven in full including interest. Let me tell you what I did. I called this number [phone no. removed] and got answers to my questions. The people that answer this number have access to the underwriters and were actually helpful. I mailed my Forgiveness application to Quick Books Capital, Attn: PPP Loan Forgiveness Processing, 2700 Coat Ave., Mountain View, CA 98043. I sent registered mail so I would have proof of delivery. It took a full 60 days for QB Capital processing and once SBA had it it took another 30 days. I was informed via e-mail when it was sent to SBA. I sympathize with your frustration, it took quite a lot of leg work on my end to make this happen. I hope this helps. Note: I did see that loan forgiveness could be accessed on line via the payroll tab, but I no longer see this option - it could be because my loan has been forgiven. Good Luck.
At this point, I think it is safe to assume that Intuit will NOT have an online forgiveness application process. They just need to stop dragging us along and say so.
This is very similar to the way they promised self-employed users an application process for the second PPP loan, only to ditch it at the last moment. Very frustrating and unprofessional!
You are not alone, I supposedly submitted loan forgiveness paperwork thru the QB employee center last September. Still have not rec'd anything back from them. I obtained this loan on behalf of my clients & have no idea if this loan was forgiven or is QB simply blowing us off. They made getting the loan easy but not the forgiveness portion. What gives Intuit/QB ?
Welcome to the Community. I'll help you get to the bottom of your concern, @taxxxmannn.
This type of concern requires an exchange of account information. Since the Community is a public forum, I suggest you contact our PPP support for further assistance.
The steps were already provided by my colleague @MaryLandT above. In case you missed it, refer to this article if you want to contact them via phone: What is QuickBooks Capital. If you want to connect through chat, refer to this page: Small Business Loans for QuickBooks Customers, then tap the Live Help button.
Post a reply if you have other questions about PPP, and I'll be sure to get back to you. Have a great day!
My story mirrors most of you as well. For example, I submitted my forgiveness application nearly two months ago to ppp @ intiut.com, but I have never received a confirmation that the application was submitted for processing. Since then I have tried unsuccessfully to get some status update - to no avail. Nothing but dead-end online chats with reps. I actually feel bad for the reps because they have to give us the same go nowhere template chat - it must be difficult to do that day in and day out knowing that they are just giving us the run-around.
I could have used my local bank to do the PPP processing - which I stupidly did not. Everyone I know who used a local bank has been forgiven pretty much right away. Yet here I wait like a dummy, months later, with still no update looking and feeling like a fool. Good job Quickbooks Capital - you win - we are stupid!
The worst thing here is these boilerplate responses (see above) that don't solve anything. There is no recourse through any of the links provided, especially the chat function...no rep has any relevant information to help you with your PPP forgiveness. The fact that people have to hunt on forums to find out how to apply for forgiveness speaks volumes about how little Quickbooks Capital cares about you. How is it possible that the process is so opaque? Getting the loan online was great and then they go and ruin the experience by making forgiveness a hell.
July 20, 2021. Quickbooks confirmed they received my forgiveness application on April 7, 2021. They have 60 days to approve or deny. It has been well past 60 days and nothing. My second PPP loan has already been forgiven, and NOTHING from QB Capital. Can we file a complaint with the SBA? Is there anything we can do?
Hello there, @whalegon1.
It's my priority that you're routed to the support who can best assist with the verification of your PPP forgiveness loan application. For this reason, I recommend contacting our dedicated Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) support team. They have the specific tools to check your forgiveness application and provide status.
You can contact them by navigating the PPP Center inside your product and select Live Chat.
Here's also some articles to learn more about the PPP loan in QuickBooks, see the below links:
Additionally, you can visit our Microsite for the latest news and information: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/small-business/coronavirus/paycheck-protection-program/.
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach back out. I'll be right here to assist you. Have a nice day!
This has to be either a bot reply or a troll account. Another generic response that answers nothing. Unfortunately for the customers, this is standard practice at Quickbooks Capital. Look through the support threads for PPP forgiveness and you will see the same wall of text posted as responses to legitimate inquiries. The common thread is that these customer service responses are totally generic and actually lead you into a dystopian world of double-talk and obfuscation. To date, I have never received an acceptable answer to any of my inquiries. The chat support people are also stuck - they have to power to look up anything or give any answers...I feel for them too - they are trapped like the customer is.
