There are 3 new FMLA stimulus Payroll items, as of 4/1 that need to be on this APRIL payroll. They are not included in the Desktop updates. How do we use them todasy?
In a Payroll service another client uses, there are 3 set up with all the conditions as PTO catigory.
There is not SS liability paid by Company for the PTO.
THerefore if I run this payroll without it, the 941 is overpaid.
How are you guys handling this for current payroll?
Hey there, @B5.
Changes are coming daily to QuickBooks Desktop Payroll. Thank you for your patience as we work to support you.
The Families First Coronavirus Response Act goes into effect with leave taken April 1, 2020, and after. Our payroll teams here at Intuit are working quickly to create the appropriate pay types so that you can track and report hours towards this tax credit for your small businesses. Per the Act, if an employee was impacted and took time off for COVID-19 related issues prior to April 1, 2020, the time would be tracked as regular sick hours and is not eligible for any tax credits at this time.

I have doubts that yesterday time off is in tomorrow's pay run. But I could be wrong. The way we pay 4/1 work or no work will not get paid until 4/17.
And many who do direct deposit had to run payroll yesterday to deposit Friday just sayin'
I see that my employees simple ira contribution and the employer match are not calculating when paying the employee paid sick leave, why is that?
Also, i have the new pay types in my 2018 version ( i run my own payroll here) but not in the 2020 version (we run 76 clients here), when does the update for 2020 come out?
Hello there, @suzannekbrangham.
There are several factors that we need to check why your Simple Ira isn't calculating. Here are the following:
To begin with, let's update your tax table by following the steps below.
Then, let's check your payroll items if they haven't reached the limit.
Lastly, let's check if you have a revert paycheck option in your payroll center. Here's how:
Once done, try creating a paycheck again to see if they're now calculating. I've added these handy articles for more information:
