Learn how to remove Employer Identification Number (EIN) from Desktop Payroll.

Do you need to remove an Employer Identification Numbers (EIN) from your payroll subscription? We show you how.

  1. In QuickBooks, go to Employees, then My Payroll Service, then Account/Billing Info.
  2. Sign in with your Intuit User ID and password.
  3. In the Service Information section of the QuickBooks Payroll Account Maintenance page, select the Remove EINs link.

  4. Select the EIN(s) that you want to remove from your subscription. Then select Remove.
  5. To confirm the removal of the EIN(s). Select the Yes, Remove EIN button.

  6. Select Ok.
