Find the Unsubscribe Link for Your Audience
by Intuit• Updated 2 months ago
We automatically generate signup and unsubscribe forms for each audience in Mailchimp. You should always include an unsubscribe link in your emails, but you could also add an unsubscribe link somewhere on your website.
In this article, you'll learn how to find the unsubscribe URL for your audience.
Before you start
Here are some things to know before you begin this process.
- Make sure you're familiar with how the unsubscribe process works in Mailchimp. To learn more, read About Unsubscribes.
Find the unsubscribe link
To find the unsubscribe link for your audience, follow these steps.
- Click Audience, then click Signup forms.
- Scroll to the Form builder tile, then click Manage forms.
- If you have more than one audience, click the Current audience drop-down and choose the one you want to work with.
- Click the Forms and response emails drop-down and choose Unsubscribe form.
- Check the box to allow subscribers to choose their preferred email format.
- Highlight the URL in the Unsubscribe form URL field and copy it to your clipboard.
- Add the URL on your website behind a text link labeled "Unsubscribe," or something similar.
If a subscriber clicks the Unsubscribe link on your site, they'll enter their email address in a form and click Unsubscribe to opt out. They'll also receive the Unsubscribe success email if you've set that up in the Form builder.
