Use Surveys in Mailchimp
by Intuit• Updated 3 months ago
Surveys can help you understand your audience and their changing needs and perceptions. Mailchimp offers a few ways to create surveys and collect responses from your audience.
In this article, you’ll learn about the different survey options in Mailchimp.
Create a hosted survey
Use Mailchimp’s hosted survey form to create detailed surveys and share them from your social posts, emails, or anywhere on the web. Add as many questions as you need, choose from a variety of answer types, and style the form to fit your brand. If you ask for an email address, you can collect new contacts and tag contacts based on their responses.
Use the poll or survey merge tag
Use either the poll or survey merge tag in an email to ask your recipients a question that they can respond to in their inbox. The poll merge tag allows people to select a response on a scale from 1 to 10. The survey merge tag lets you ask a single question with multiple responses to choose from. You can view these responses in your campaign report.
Use a third-party integration
If you have a preferred third-party survey tool like SurveyMonkey or Typeform, you can create a survey outside of Mailchimp and link it to your campaign.
The SurveyMonkey integration uses Integrations templates to pull in the third-party information. Typeform sends survey responses to Mailchimp, and generates code that places custom surveys in a Mailchimp campaign or automation using a code block. You can also look into using Google Forms or any of the other options in our Integrations Directory.
