Ways to Combine Audiences in Mailchimp
by Intuit• Updated 2 months ago
There are 2 ways to merge your audiences in Mailchimp: the combine audiences tool or a CSV import. When deciding which to use, consider the type of contacts you're working with and the amount of data you need to keep.
In this article, you'll learn how to combine audiences in Mailchimp.
Things to know
Here are some things you should know about combining audiences.
- If you have GDPR data, we don't recommend you combine audiences at this time.
- If your combined audience exceeds 100,000 contacts, searching and sorting contacts may not work. To learn about things you can try, check out About High-Volume Audiences.
Export and import
To combine all of your contacts and keep as much data as possible, we recommend you export data from one audience and import it into your primary audience. This process requires different imports for each type of contact, and some information can't be transferred. For a breakdown of what information is and isn't included in an audience export, check out View or Export Your Contacts.
