SOLVEDby QuickBooks41Updated 1 week ago

Are you trying to manually import your Paypal transactions into QuickBooks Online? This article answers some frequently asked questions you may have in mind.

Can I manually import transactions after completing the Sync with PayPal setup?

Yes, you can manually import your Paypal transactions into QuickBooks Online after the initial setup.

Why should I use the manual import feature?

The manual import can be used to import transactions from the last 18 months. This can be useful in the following situations:

  • When connecting for the first time only the past 90 days are imported.
  • A new QuickBooks account has been created and transactions have already been marked as exported.

How do I manually import transactions?

You can import your Paypal transactions manually by following either of these steps:

From the App Center

  1. Go to My Apps.
  2. Select My Apps at the top.
  3. Locate the Sync with PayPal app card.
  4. Select Settings on the Sync with PayPal app card
  5. A new tab will open.
  6. Select Run in the Manual Import section

Within QuickBooks Online

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account
  2. Go to Apps, then select Overview.
  3. Locate the Sync with PayPal app card.
  4. Select Settings on the Sync with PayPal app card.
  5. A new tab opens.
  6. Select Run in the Manual Import section. Once there, enter the desired date range then select Run.

If I manually import transactions, will my import overwrite the previously imported transactions?

In the event that bulk import dates overlap with the previous bulk import dates, the new transactions will not overwrite the previously imported transactions unless Re-Import previously imported transactions is checked.

Note: It is important that you understand the risk involved with re-importing of transactions. The re-import will create new transactions in QuickBooks and this might cause duplicate transactions if you have not deleted the previously imported transactions.
