Use the Wallet hub in QuickBooks Online to view, connect, verify, and manage the bank accounts linked to your account, all from one place.

The Wallet hub gives you a single, self-service place to manage the bank accounts you use for QuickBooks payments, bill pay, and other money movement. You can connect a new account, check verification status, see where an account is actively used, update a nickname, or remove an account you no longer need — without contacting support.

Note The Wallet hub is available to QuickBooks Online users with Settings access. It isn't available in QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA). The Wallet hub is available in all regions.

Go to the Wallet hub

Open the Wallet hub from your QuickBooks Online settings:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.

  2. Select Settings ⚙, then select Account and Settings.

  3. Select Wallet from the left navigation panel.

When you're done managing your accounts, select X to close the window.

Connect a bank account

Add a new bank account to your Wallet so you can use it for payments, bill pay, or other QuickBooks money features.

  1. In the Wallet hub, select Connect account.

  2. Search for and select your bank, or enter your bank details manually if your bank isn't listed.

  3. Follow the prompts to securely sign in to your bank and link the account.

View your stored bank accounts

Every bank account connected to your Wallet displays in the hub, along with its nickname and current verification status. This view shows only your personal or company bank accounts stored in the Wallet — it doesn't include accounts managed elsewhere in QuickBooks, like your chart of accounts.

Verify a bank account

Some bank accounts need to be verified before you can use them for certain QuickBooks features.

  1. In the Wallet hub, find the account marked as needing verification.

  2. Select Verify.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete verification.

Once verification is complete, the account's status updates to reflect that it's verified.

See where a bank account is used

Before you edit or remove a bank account, check where it's active. Select an account in the Wallet hub to see the QuickBooks products, subscriptions, or services currently using it, so you can judge the impact of any change before you make it.

Edit a bank account nickname

  1. In the Wallet hub, select the bank account you want to update.

  2. Select Edit.

  3. Update the nickname, then select Save.

You can only update non-sensitive details, like the nickname. Your bank's account and routing numbers can't be edited from here.

Delete a bank account you no longer need

  1. In the Wallet hub, select the bank account you want to remove.

  2. Select Delete.

  3. Confirm that you want to remove the account.

Note If a bank account is actively used by a product, subscription, or service, it's protected from accidental removal. Check where the account is used, and update or remove it from that service first, before you delete it from the Wallet hub.

Result

Your Wallet hub now reflects your connected bank accounts, so you can manage, verify, and troubleshoot them anytime without contacting support.
