Learn what to do when a recurring transaction isn’t sent automatically in QuickBooks Online.

Do you have a recurring receipt or invoice that isn't being sent automatically? The steps below can help you fix this issue.

  • Find and open the transaction. Go to All apps A bunch of numbers and letters on a tile wall., then Accounting, then Recurring transactions (Take me there).

  • Put a checkmark on the Send later box.

  • Optional: If printing later, go to Print or Preview and select Print later.

  • Select Save to update the transaction.

  • Select Save and send. This way, when the recurring transaction is created, it will be sent automatically.
