Design and Host Your Own "Thank You" Pages
by Intuit• Updated 4 weeks ago
After someone fills out and submits your Mailchimp-hosted or embedded signup form, they’ll see a confirmation thank you page that lets them know they successfully subscribed to your marketing. If you use the double opt-in process, subscribed contacts will also see another page, called the signup thank you page, which tells them to check their inbox for the opt-in confirmation email.
We host both of these pages for you, but if you want to host your own custom thank you pages you can set up a redirect link that points to your site when form submissions are successful.
In this article, you'll learn how to redirect the Mailchimp-hosted versions of these pages to custom thank you pages on your site.
Set up a redirect to a custom thank you page
To set up a redirect to a custom thank you page, follow these steps.
- Click Audience, then choose Signup forms.
- Scroll to the Form builder tile, then click Manage forms.
- If you have more than 1 audience, click the Current audience drop-down and choose the one you want to work with.
Click the Forms and response emails drop-down and choose Confirmation thank you page.
In the Instead of showing this thank you page, send subscribers to another URL field, input the URL where you host your custom page.
Click Save.
If your audience is double opt-in, duplicate this process and choose Signup thank you page from the drop-down menu in step 4.`
Redirect from an embedded form
If you use a Mailchimp embedded form, after you set up a redirect to your custom thank you page, you'll need to disable JavaScript for your form.
To disable JavaScript for your embedded form, follow these steps.
Click Audience, then select Signup forms.
If you have more than 1 audience, click the Current audience drop-down and choose the one you want to work with.
Click Edit embedded form.
Click Settings.
Select the Disable all Javascript checkbox.
Click Continue.
Click Copy Code.
Paste the embed form code into your website's HTML to replace the current version of your form.
Now, when someone submits your Mailchimp embedded form, they’ll be redirected to your custom thank you page.
