Manage your migrated attachments
by Intuit•23• Updated 3 weeks ago
Learn more about managing your migrated attachments in QuickBooks Online.
After your migration, you can access a summary of your migrated attachments. You'll see a summary of how many attachments were migrated from your original set. It'll also tell you about any attachments that weren't moved. This can happen if files are missing, in an unsupported format, damaged, or if the content isn't supported.
During the migration process, some attachments might not be moved due to various reasons, including:
- Missing Files: The original attachment files were not found at the time of migration.
- Unsupported Formats: The attachment file type is not supported by the new system.
- Corrupted Files: The attachment files were corrupted and could not be processed.
- Entity not supported: Some entities, such as sales orders, charts of accounts, and items, are not supported.
Download your attachment migration report
To see all your attachments, including the ones that were and weren't moved, you can download a comprehensive report. The report will explain why some attachments didn't move.
- In QuickBooks Online, select the Download attachments report link.
- The report will download to your device (Excel file).
- Review the report to identify specific attachments that may be missing or in unsupported formats.
- The report updates automatically each time you upload new attachments.
Note: Mapping these attachments can take some time, so the update might not be instantaneous.

- You can then use this zip file to upload attachments in your QuickBooks Online Post Migration Hub.
