Use Safe Sender Lists to Stay out of Spam Folders
by Intuit• Updated 2 months ago
Email clients filter incoming messages into spam or junk folders to keep unwanted mail out of inboxes. These filters sometimes move the messages your contacts want to receive into the wrong folder.
In this article, you'll learn how contacts can mark your email’s From address as a safe sender, so your marketing emails can be delivered successfully to their inboxes.
Use the “Add us to your address book" link
To make it easy for contacts to add your From address to a safe sender list, include the “Add us to your address book" link in every marketing email you send. Insert this merge tag in the header or footer, and we'll replace the tag with a unique URL that will help your contact quickly add you to their address book.

Ask contacts to add you to their safe sender list
Most email clients provide a safe sender or allowlist (other providers may refer to it as "whitelist”) option for trusted contacts in the address book. Ask your contacts to add your email campaign's From email address to this list to help your future messages bypass filters and reach your contacts’ inboxes.
If your contacts are from a company that uses firewalls or filters to block spam, check out How to Allowlist Delivery IP Addresses.
