Use these merge tags to allow your subscribers to share your email campaigns on social networking sites.

Merge tags for social sharing

*|MC:SHARE|*

Adds a series of icons to your campaign to let your subscribers quickly share the campaign on various social networking sites.

*|MC:TOPSHARE|*

Adds a series of icons for the most popular social networks so your subscribers can share your campaign.

*|SHARE:SITE_NAME1,SITE_NAME2|*

Allows you to select which social sharing sites your subscribers can share your campaign on. See examples of choosing social share links.

*|SHARELINK:xxx|*

Inserts a URL to share your sent campaign where xxx is Facebook or X (formerly Twitter). This is a great way to create a custom link or button image to share your campaign.

Merge tags for Tumblr

These merge tags pull in and populate your campaign with a Tumblr button.

*|TUMBLR:SHARE|*

Adds a button to share your campaign on Tumblr. By default, your campaign subject line is used as the name of the page being shared.

*|TUMBLR:[$title=example title, $url=http://exampleurl.com, $description=example description]|*

The optional variable $title specifies the title of the page being shared. If not specified, uses the subject line of your campaign.
The optional variable $url specifies the URL being shared. If not specified, links to your sent campaign.
The optional variable $description specifies the description of the page being shared. If not specified, the item is shared without a description.

Merge tags for Instapaper

These merge tags pull in and populate your campaign with a Read Later button that directs your subscribers to Instapaper's website to save a URL.

Adds a Read Later button to save your campaign to Instapaper.

*|INSTAPAPER:[$title=example title, $url=http://exampleurl.com, $description=example description]|*
