Get help with QuickBooks products and services

You can get help by using the Help option inside your QuickBooks product to find answers to common questions. If you can’t find the answers you need, you can connect with an expert. Here’s how:
Select your product for steps on how to find articles or connect with an expert.
These steps apply to:
- QuickBooks EasyStart, QuickBooks Online Plus, QuickBooks Online Advanced, QuickBooks Online Accountant, or ProAdvisor products.
- QuickBooks Online Payroll Core, QuickBooks Online Payroll Premium, QuickBooks Online Payroll Elite, and QuickBooks Time.
- Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
- Select (?) Help.
- Select one of the following options to get help:
- Assistant tab: Enter your question in the Type or Ask Something field. QuickBooks Assistant will provide answers or options.
- Search tab: Enter your question in the Search questions, keywords, or topics field. You’ll get a list of related articles.
Connect with an expert
If you still need help, follow these steps to connect to an expert.
- Assistant tab: Enter talk to an expert.
- Search tab: Select Contact Us.

These steps apply to:
- QuickBooks Desktop Pro, Premier, and Enterprise.
- Open QuickBooks Desktop.
- Go to the Help menu and select QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us. This opens the Help window.
Tip: you can also press F1 on your keyboard to open the Help window. - Use the Search questions, keywords, or topics field to enter your question.
- You’ll get a list of related articles.
Connect with an expert
- If you don’t get the answers you need, select Contact Us in the help window.
You can choose between getting a callback or chatting with us.
Tip: If you don’t see the Help menu, check your screen settings in QuickBooks Desktop or update its version.

Follow these steps if you need help with QuickBooks Workforce.
- Sign in to QuickBooks Workforce.
- Select Help. This opens the Help page.
- Select how you want to get help:
- Assistant tab: Enter your question in the Type or ask something field. QuickBooks Assistant will give you answers or options.
- Search tab: Enter your question in the Search questions, keywords, or topics field. You'll get a list of related articles.
Connect with an expert
- Assistant tab: Enter talk to an expert.
- Search tab: Select Contact Us.
- Follow the link to go to the support page. (Only in English)
- Select QuickBooks Self-Employed and enter your question.
- Select Continue and follow the instructions to sign in to your account to connect with an expert.
