Do I need to back up my data with QuickBooks?

You don't need to worry about saving your QuickBooks data on a flash drive because QuickBooks automatically backs your data up with the same level of security used by banks and financial institutions.
The security of your data is our first priority. That's why we’ve invested a great deal of thought and resources into ensuring a completely reliable system.
How do we keep your data safe and secure?
- Whenever there are changes to your company file, your data is saved to two hard drives.
- We periodically copy all data to a third-party hard drive. This means your data is protected in case something happens to the first two hard drives.
- Automatic backups are performed every night.
Note: Because we update your records with every change, we can't restore your file to a previous point in time. |
If you wish to back up your files for your own record, use the Rewind Backups app. All future changes in your QuickBooks files are automatically backed up within five minutes. You have access to all your backups inside the secure Rewind Vault.
