Disconnect the GoCardless app from QuickBooks

Learn how to disconnect from the GoCardless app in QuickBooks Online.


Before you disconnect

  • Only the user who originally connected GoCardless to QuickBooks can disconnect it.
  • If that user no longer appears in Manage users, contact us via chat or request a call back and we’ll help.

What to expect after disconnecting

  • You’ll no longer be able to schedule direct debit on invoices in QuickBooks.
  • Any invoices that were already scheduled for direct debit won’t be collected through GoCardless.
    If the due date hasn’t arrived yet, you’ll need to collect the payment manually.
  • Deposits aren’t created in QuickBooks for direct debit payments that were already collected when they later appear on your bank account.
  • Mandates requested through QuickBooks remain available in GoCardless.
  • If you reconnect GoCardless later, you’ll need to import your mandates again.

Disconnect GoCardless

  1. Go to Integrations The My integrations icon in QuickBooks Online. and select Find integrations (Take me there).
  2. Find GoCardless for QuickBooks, then select the â–Ľ drop-down.
  3. Choose Disconnect. You’ll see a confirmation that QuickBooks is no longer connected to the app.
