How to export your data from QuickBooks Online Accountant

You can export client information, such as client notes, shared documents, team member data, projects, and tasks, from Your Practice. You can also export data from Your Books.

To export client notes

To export client notes to a CSV file:

  1. From the main Client list, select the individual client name.
  2. Select the dropdown arrow next to Edit client.
  3. Select Export Notes.

To export shared client documents

To export shared documents for a client:

  1. From the main Client list, select the individual client name.
  2. Select the Documents tab.
  3. To download individual documents, select the blue Download hyperlink on each file name or in the Action column, select Download.
  4. To download multiple documents, select the checkbox next to each document you want to download.
  5. Select the arrow next to Batch actions.
  6. Select Download.

The data is now exported to a zip file.

To export team member data

To export Team member data:

  1. Select Team.
  2. Select the Printer icon. This opens up a list of all your team members on a separate tab.
  3. You can either print out the list or export the data to a PDF file.

To export your data from Your Books

To export your data from Your Books:

  1. Go to Settings Settings gear icon..
  2. Select Export Data
  3. Select either the Reports tab or the List tab, depending on which data you want to export.
  4. Use the on/off slider to deselect items you do not want to export.
  5. Select the All dates filter to choose which period you need by.
  6. Choose Export to Excel
  7. The selected data will be exported in a zip format.
