Error 502 Bad Gateway is usually an issue with the browser itself.  When you are encountering browser issues when visiting Intuit sites, there are a few basic troubleshooting steps you can perform. Before following the steps below, try using a different browser to identify if the issue is browser-specific.

General browser troubleshooting steps

  • Restart your browser.
  • Clear your browser's cache.
  • Add Intuit as a trusted site.
  • Enable Active Scripting (if using Internet Explorer):
    1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
    2. Click the Security tab and select the Internet icon.
    3. Click Custom Level.
    4. Select Enable under Active Scripting.
    5. Click OK twice.
  • Reset the browser to its default settings.
    Note: This will change any customized settings that you have on your browser.

Thanks for giving us additional information about your concern. I want to make sure your issue with the Error 205 Bad Gateway gets resolved.


Since you're using the QuickBooks app, we can manually update your application by following the steps below:


  1. Click Help.
  2. Choose Reset App Data.
  3. Then, close and reopen the app.

If resetting the App Data still doesn't make a difference, we can uninstall and reinstall the application.
