Can I change the font size and/or color on my screen in QB. I don't know why programmers think that grey text is a good thing.
I've got the details you need about changing the font size and color on your QBO screen, @bottieri.
The default font size used by the system is 100%. You can manually zoom in and zoom out the display screen to either increase or decrease the font size. To increase it, you can hold the Ctrl key and press the Plus sign (+) on your keyboard simultaneously. To decrease it, go back to your keyboard and press Ctrl and the Minus sign (-).
For the font color, there isn't a way to change it within QBO. However, you can modify it depending on the browser you're using. I'd first recommend adjusting the brightness and contrast level of your computer screen. This can be done by pressing the buttons at the bottom right of your monitor. Then, choose your preferences to make the fonts darker and easier to see.
If you're using Mozilla Firefox, please perform the steps below:
Go to the Menu button at the upper right.
In the General panel, choose Language and Appearance.
You'll be able to change the color of any web page.
Here are the steps for Microsoft Edge:
Go to More actions at the upper right.
Under Choose a Theme, chooseeither Dark or Light theme.
Go to the Safari menu.
Under Standard font, click the Select button.
Choose your desired font color.
Click OK on the Preferences screen.
Also, I know the importance of changing from grey text to your desired color would be a helpful feature. Rest assured that I'll pass your suggestion to our product engineers. They can review and evaluate it for future releases. You can always check out our blog posts to learn more about our product innovations.
Once done, please go back to the screen where you left off to continue performing your tasks. I'd suggest visiting this website: QBO Basics. This link provides you more information about managing your income, expenses, inventory, banking, and your QuickBooks account.
I'll be right here to help if you need anything else. Have a great day, @bottieri.
