Can qb simple be restored from an time to reset making accounts inactive etc?

Hi there, secondhandsteals.

I'm here to share some information about how QuickBooks Online works.

QuickBooks Online automatically backs your data up with the same level of security used by banks and financial institutions. We update your records with every change, we cannot restore your file to a previous point in time that's why the option to restore your file to a previous point in time is unavailable.

To reactivate your accounts, we'll have to do it manually in the Chart of Accounts. I'll guide you how:

  1. Select Accounting from the side bar menu.
  2. Choose Chart of Accounts.
  3. Select the small Gear icon above the Action column and choose Include inactive.
  4. Click Make active next to the inactive account.

I recommend the following article for additional insight into this process, such as what happens when an account is made inactive: How to Delete an Account or Restore a Deleted Account.

You can also visit this article to find out which default or special account can be deleted, edited, or merged in QuickBooks Online.

I'll be right here to help you further if you need assistance in managing your accounts. Stay safe and healthy.
