I have installed QB Pro 2018 on a new computer. Now I need the data transferred. How?
Export only gives me the option for lists. Under Utilities there is a option for Move QB to another Computer. But this is the application and isn't loading on the new computer because it already is loaded.

Hi there, Steveneolson,
Thanks for getting this to our attention. I can help you transfer your QuickBooks data to your new computer.
Great news! There's an easy way to move your company file from one location to another. All you need to do is to create a back up the old company file then restore it to the new computer. This way, your file is protected from accidental data loss. Let me guide you on how to do that:

I work in another state and want to do this weekly to the home office. Any way to get the back up to the boss's computer on a weekly basis? I love the idea of copying and transferring the backup but how do I send it to him and can he load it on his desktop (same version) each week?
hi @Anonymous ,
You may create a portable file (QBM) and send it as attachment in your email. Another option, create a backup file (QBB), put it in cloud (GDrive or OneDrive), and share the download link.
Just my 2 cents.
Our church uses a program called Power Church to manage their books. Is there a way to transfer all the historical data into quick books online? For example, storing all the data in an excel or CSV file then restoring it to quick books online?
Our church uses a program called Power Church to manage their books. We would liek to switch to QuickBooks online. Is there a way to easily transfer all the historical data? For example, back up into an excel file or CSV file then restore in QB Online?
Let me help, @azncdn.
You may try using our QuickBooks conversion tool in transferring your historical data from Power Church using CSV files.
Just click on this link and provide the necessary information needed: Switch to QuickBooks Online.
You may also look for a third-party App that'll easily convert files from one program to another. You can go to this site for the available Apps: QuickBooks Online Apps.
Should you need anything else, or if you have additional questions about transferring to QBO, do let me know. I'm always here to help.
hi @azncdn ,
You may utilize the trial period of the 3rd party data importing tools from PowerChurch Online.
But if you have PowerChurch Plus, you may consider switch it to QuickBooks Desktop Premier edition. You may utilize the 3rd party migration tools as well and deploy an additional service to access your local file by internet as well
Just my 2 cents.
