desktop to online export creating duplicate company file
I have tried to export a desktop company file (QB Accountant 2018) to a newly created client quickbooks company opened through my QBOA bot through my accountant login and through an admin user login and everytime I try to export it creates a new (duplicate) company file under the quickbooks user account. I can't get it to upload to the existing company file.
QuickBooks will ask if you want to select an existing company or create a new one when exporting your data. Make sure to choose the client's account in the drop-down arrow. You can see the screenshots in Step 3.3 of this Help article: Convert QuickBooks Desktop File To QuickBooks Online.
However, if you can't see the drop-down to select the existing company, please contact our phone support. They can double-check why you're not able to export your data to the correct company.
