Display issues with shortcut icons on the home screen

I am running QB Pro 2016. My shortcut bar appears and works just fine, but the shortcut icons do not appear on my home screen in either business I have created. The screen is completely blank. How do I add the shortcuts (such as pay bills, create invoices, etc.) to my home screen?

If you are saying the home page does not display, check menu edit>preferences > desktop >my pref tab and see if show home page is checked - and/or use menu company>home page

otherwise check this

Thank you for your help. Turns out that since I'm working off of a 4k computer the resolution doesn't work with QB. Therefore the homepage will not display correctly.

me too. so annoying.  QB do you have a patch for this? should work with 4k hi rezzz

I have the same issue - I can see the home page, but I have no icons that relate to the vendor area of the software.  QB Desktop 2020 version.  Any ideas?

If you already went through the steps in this article: Fix screen issues in QuickBooks Desktop, then I suggest you contact our Technical Support for further assistance. They can investigate as to why you have this issue.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. On your QuickBooks homepage, go to the Help menu.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Tap the Contact us button.
