Does Quickbooks Desktop work on a Network Assisted Storage (NAS) alternative server system?

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, ajsprinkler.

When it comes to running QuickBooks Desktop on one workstation and accessing the NAS drive, you'll be able to with no issues. If you're trying to host that company file on the NAS drive and have multiple users access the company file, you'll need to reach out to your IT team for additional support.
For more information about the system requirements for QuickBooks Desktop, you can check out the following link here

If you have any other questions about anything related to QuickBooks, please feel free to reach out to me here.

This is not true. Many of us used an NAS to store the files and QB has broken this - https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/install/quickbooks-2016-on-nas/00/204756

Thanks for keeping an eye on this thread, TonyB1.

Right now, the Network Attached Storage (NAS) is one of the unsupported network types for QuickBooks.

You can check this article to know what type of networks you can use to run the software: Recommended networks for QuickBooks.

In case you want to host your QuickBooks company files with Database Server Manager, refer to this link: Use QuickBooks Database Server Manager.

We're always around to help if you have any other concerns. Have a great day ahead.
