Join nowOn pre-release Windows 10 build 17063 Quickbooks (all versions) is broken. Cannot be updated or installed. I assume it's a .NET issue, however I didn't have this problem with previous pre-release versions after the Creator update which integrated .NET into the OS.
Hi cindy,
Let me help you and ensure this gets resolved.
Error 1603 occurs if there was a problem installing Microsoft .NET Framework. This can also be caused by a damaged Microsoft Windows Installer or QuickBooks Desktop installation.
We'll do some steps to fix this error. Please follow the recommended troubleshooting steps in this article, which will help with repairing or reinstallling .NET Framework: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1501399.
Keep me posted on how things go once you've tried the steps. I'm always here to help.
"Unfortunately, since the "Creator" update in Windows 10, .NET is integrated and cannot be 'reinstalled' (it may appear that you can, but it really doesn't)"
Search W10 settings for this:
Turn Windows Features on or off
That opens the Pop up.
Enable .net controls here.
