any one having this error code for citizens bank

Hi, dunlord1.


We received some reports about the error code 9999. As of this time, our engineering team is investigating in regards to this. You'll want to contact our phone support so your name will be added the list of affected users.

Here's how:

  1. Click the ? Help tab, then click the Contact us button.
  2. In the How can we help box, enter a brief description of your concern.
  3. Select the Continue button.
  4. Choose either Get our phone number or Message an Agent.
  5. Enter the necessary information.
  6. Click the Get the number or Send message button.

The QuickBooks Community team will give you an update once the issue is resolve.

Error code 9999

Yes I received it and its been over a month now that i've had this issue.  The engineering team supposedly working on it but hasn't resolved it yet.  What's weird is that I have 3 Citizen accounts linked to the QB but only 1 of them is having the issue.


QB - PLEASE work on resolving this issue.  I'm paying a fair amount of money for this issue to have gone on for this long.

I'm sad to hear your experience about the Error 9999. At this time, we haven't received similar cases from other users with similar banking issues. 


The error 9999 is a script error that causes interruption between the connection of your bank and QuickBooks Online (QBO). For now, you can bring in your transactions through WebConnect. Check out this article for instructions: How to upload more than 90 days of bank transactions.


I also recommend contacting our QuickBooks Care Team so we can open a new investigation for this. They can help trace down the cause of the error and come up with a permanent fix. You can reach them by following the instructions below:

  1. Go to the Help menu at the upper right.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter your concern.
  4. Click Let’s talk.
  5. Choose Get a callback
  6. Type in your contact info.
  7. Select Confirm my call.

I have this exact problem right now and QuickBooks doesn't even let you send them a support@ email ......Gzzzzzzzzz cant get ahold of anyone and it say open Sat. 6am pt - 3pm pt and still no answer showing, only closed. This company is losing it's good customer service.

Have you tried to open your QBO account on private/incognito browser? If the same error persists, utilize the trial version of SlickConnect to isolate the issue.
