Banking Error 185 means your bank requires more information after you enter your credentials let's say additional security requirements, such as a security question or one-time passcode (OTP), for you to address.

If we're prompted to enter a security question, we can enter your answer. You may see this error again the next time you update if you have multiple security questions. As you enter your answers, QuickBooks Online remembers the security questions you have been asked and answers for you. For the one-time password (OTP), get your OTP on a device through call or text, and enter it each time you see Error 185.

It's nice to have you here.

I'd like to know more about what happened why you encountered an error. Where exactly in QuickBooks Online you're having errors or difficulties? What are you trying to accomplish?

Any additional details will be helpful so I can provide resolution. I'll keep an eye on this thread.

Wont load update any purchases on phone. This tim driver husband for our company. Had a rep call me when I was at home .he walked through remote on computer to rethink bank account. Never worked. Still not updating on my phone here on transactions says now error 3 days ago.

May I know what is the error message you're getting when updating the purchases? You might want to try the basic troubleshooting steps for using the mobile app following these steps:

For QuickBooks Online app:
- Android - Select the menu at the top right and choose Settings. Then select Refresh Data and choose Yes.
- iOS - Select the menu at the top right and then choose Help & Feedback. Then select Refresh Data and Refresh.
In your Phone Settings:
- Android - From your phone's settings, select Apps (varies by device). Choose the QuickBooks app from the list and select Storage. Select clear data.
- iOS - From your phone's settings, select Settings, then, click on General and choose iPhone Storage. Select an app that's taking up a lot of space. To free up the storage without deleting the documents and data for the app, select Offload App.

Tried clearing cache restarted numerous times. Uninstall, reinstall restart .still the same error .took off wifi on phone service
