Getting an Older version of Enterprise

My company ran Enterprise up until 2014. The company has since closed. I need to access the old data files but the Enterprise program is not on my current computer. I placed the data file in the cloud when we closed the business.  How can I download the old Enterprise program to my new computer hard drive?

There’s another way of transferring your QuickBooks file from one computer to another. This process involves creating a backup copy from the old computer and restoring it to the new computer.

Moving your QuickBooks installation doesn’t move your company files. Your company files must be copied to the new location separately. See Move your company file from your old computer to your new computer.

Reinstalling QuickBooks over an existing installation doesn’t affect your company files. You can open your company files with the reinstalled copy of QuickBooks as you normally would.

If your QuickBooks license includes free support, you can speak to our Customer Care team so they can upgrade the old company file for you.

To do it, kindly follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Enter a brief description in the Tell us more about your question: field and click Search.
  5. Choose a way you want to reach our live agent.

If your computer crashed or you need to undo recent changes, use a backup company file to restore your accounting data. This lets you go back to one of your save points if you ever run into problems. You can check this article to restore a backup of your company file

I'll be around if you need more help. Have a good one!

Do you wish to open your file only for a limited time (i.e < 30 days) or else?
