Hi, Mcongleton.

I'm here to help get this resolved. With errors like this, they can be resolved by clearing the cache and cookies of your web browser. The web page is loading old information and you need to delete that information, to move forward. That's essentially what clearing the cache does and it's good to do so from time to time.

Follow the linked steps for your specific browser:

Be sure to restart the browser once you clear the cache. After that, clear Intuit-specific cookies from your browser. We have some information available that will help such as, clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online. I look forward to getting this resolved with you and let me know if you have any questions.

I followed the steps below to clear the cache and cookies, restarted the browser, and it is still showing me the error. Attached is a picture of what I am seeing.

Thanks for getting back to us, @mcongleton.

Since the issue persists after following the steps shared by my colleague above, I highly suggest contacting our Support team. They have tools such as screen-sharing (remote access) that can pull up your account and investigate the cause of this odd behavior. They're also able to perform other troubleshooting steps to fix this for you.

Here's how to reach them:

  1. In QuickBooks Online (QBO), click the Help (question mark) icon at the top right.
  2. Select Contact Us at the bottom to connect with our live support.

Just in case, I'll add this article for future reference: Enter, edit, or delete expenses in QuickBooks Online.

I want to make sure everything is taken care of for you, so please let me know how it goes or if you have any other concerns. I'll be here to assist. Have a great day!
