Have a question dialog box continues to pop up, needs to go away?

Hi there, tcjennings.

 

Can you tell us what message you're getting in the dialog box? If you're in the Help menu, let's end or close QuickBooks from your Task Manger. Here's how:

 

  1. Right click on task bar and click Start Task Manager.
  2. Go to the Processes tab and proceed to Image Name.
  3. Select the QuickBooks processes one by one and click End process. Make sure that you're only QuickBooks-related processes are ended and then close Task Manager.
  4. Exit out of SmartVault from the system tray.

Once done, re-open QuickBooks and check if you're no longer getting the dialog box. 

 

If you're not in the Help menu and is getting a dialog box pop-up for products and services, follow these steps on how you can turn them off:

 

  1. Go to the Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click General and proceed to the My Preferences tab.
  3. Check the box for Turn off pop-up messages for products and services.
  4. Click OK

Once done, go back to your Home page and continue working in your company file to check if the dialog box is no longer showing up.
