Hello paragonhardscape,

 

We're unable to change the primary or default state in the Payroll Settings manually. For now, I'd recommend adding it as one of the work location.

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Payroll Settings.
  2. Under Business Information, select Work Locations.
  3. Click the Add a Work Location hyperlink and enter the details.
  4. Click Save.

Then, you can contact our Payroll Support Team. They'll be able to pull up your account and update the default state.

 

If you're referring to something different, any additional details would be much appreciated.

There is no Business Information option in Payroll Settings. I'm using the online version of Quickbooks.

 Though, if you're still unable to change the default state, i'd recommend contacting the support team. Here's how:

  1. Click Help at the top. 
  2. Select Contact us. 
  3. Provide a brief information about your concern. 
  4. Click Continue. 
  5. Select Get a callback.
