Welcome
to the Intuit Community, sidewinderrestau.
Let’s
print your W-2 forms in QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP).
Currently,
QBOP supports printing W-2 forms using a 4-part perforated paper or plain
paper. It must be blank, though, not a pre-printed form.
If
you want to print the W-2 forms for your employees, here are the steps below:
- Go to the Taxes tab from the left menu.
- Select Payroll Tax.
- In the Forms section, select the Annual Forms link.
- Select either All Employees or a specific employee
name from the drop-down menu provided.
- Select the W-2, Copies B, C & 2 link. It takes
you to the Printable Employee Copies: Form
W-2 page.
- Choose the appropriate
period from the drop-down menu.
- Select View to launch Adobe Reader in a new window.
- Select the print icon on the Reader toolbar.
-
Click Print again.
I’ve
added a screenshot below to show the fourth and fifth steps.
For
more details on the W-2 forms’ paper and ink requirements, please check out
this article: View
and Print W-2 Forms.
If
you want to electronically file these forms with the SSA, you can refer to
this article for additional guidance: How Do I Prepare and File
W-2 Forms.
The
steps above will help you stay compliant with printing and filing your W-2
forms in QBO. Keep in touch with me how it goes on your end. I’m just one
comment away, sidewinderrestau. Have an awesome day!
