That is not an option in QBDT.  Go to Edit > Printer Setup > Check/Paycheck and you'll see the 3 types of checks supported by QB.

Unless you order new checks that are compatible, you can try tearing off the top voucher and printing just the top check and one voucher.

I just got checks from my PNC bank. He told me the check in the center with vouchers top and bottom would work with QB PRO. Super!

Go to File menu > Printer Setup, Checks/Paychecks. Here you see the compatible forms.

Make them give you a reprinting at Their Cost, since they were wrong.

We too have checks in the middle of the sheet and this is what seems to work.

File > Printer Steup > Check/PayCheck > Settings tab

In Check Style box select Voucher, then click Align at the right side.

In the Fine Alignment window that opens type -350 (that's negative 350 for 3.5 inches down). Click OK. QBDP will complain that the vertical value should be between -33 and 33, but just click OK.

Back in the Fine Alignment window, click Print Sample and see how it looks.

That check stock is not Intuit-compliant. I think that is Sage.

You can rip the Checks apart and use them individually. You can Handwrite checks, too. You can use up the paper checks, or not. You just cannot feed those into QB Printing, for both vouchers to work.

How do I line up the QB Checks back the way it was. I have purchased the checks recommended

for QB  with the check being on top and stubs on bottom?

It's nice to see you here today, @My2jeeps,

I can help you update your check styles for your pre-printed checks in QuickBooks Desktop.

To do that, you can open your Printer Setup and update the style from there. Let me walk you through the steps:

  1. Click the File menu.
  2. Choose Printer Setup.
  3. In the Form Name, choose Check/PayCheck.
  4. Click Voucher for the Check Style.
  5. Hit OK.

That should correct your check printing in QuickBooks, @My2jeeps. I've added a great article to guide you with printing paychecks in QuickBooks Desktop: How to Print Paychecks?

Please feel free to post here in the Community if you have any more questions with QuickBooks. I'm here to help you whenever you need further assistance. Have a great day!

Our 3 part checks have the check on the bottom and 2 vouchers on the top. It does not appear to be a supported option in QBs desktop. Ist there a way to configure or support this type of check?

Hey there, Albert N.

Let me share some information regarding the supported type of checks in QuickBooks Desktop.

The type of template you're using where the check is at the bottom and 2 vouchers on the top is currently unsupported in QuickBooks Desktop. Right now, the compatible template or check types are:

  • Voucher.
  • Standard.
  • Wallet.

Intuit can only guarantee compatibility with checks specially designed for the system. In case you’ll need to purchase checks and supplies, visit our Intuit MarketPlace.
