How do you clear a 108 error when syncing a bank account? It says there's a message waiting for me on the bank end, and their isn't.

How do you clear a 108 error when syncing a bank account? It says there's a message waiting for me on the bank end, and their isn't.

Bank error 108 means that there messages from your bank's website that requires your action. You might not see these messages if your pop-up blocker is active. I'd recommend turning it off before you visit your bank's website.

 

If you're still unable to retrieve the message, we can do a few troubleshooting steps. Though cache boosts browser's processes, it can also cause issues when piled up. Here's how to remove cache-related issues:

  1. Open a private window and log in to your account. It uses but doesn't store cache.
  2. If you can retrieve the message from your bank's website successfully, we can go back to your regular browser and clear the cache.
  3. Another alternative is to use other supported browsers. Each of them uses different cache.

After that, we can update the Banking page manually. This will refresh the connection between your bank's website and QuickBooks Online.

  1. Select Banking on the left menu and go to the Banking page.
  2. Highlight the connected bank account and click Update.
