I've got you covered, lisa106.

To export the data from QuickBooks Online and import it to the desktop version, you'll need to have the following ready:

  • Set up the security settings in Internet Explorer
  • Open your QuickBooks Desktop and run it as administrator.

Before importing, please check this article to see what are the data that will and will not be exported from QuickBooks Online. Limitations when you convert from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop.

Then, follow these steps to export:

  1. Go to the Gear > Export Data.
  2. In the Export data page, click the Learn more link under Moving to QuickBooks Desktop?.
  3. Select the Learn more link under Download company data. Then, click the Get started button.
  4. Select Install ActiveX Control Now and follow the steps to install the ActiveX. Once done, hit the Continue button.
  5. Select the data you want to export and then select Continue.
  6. Review the limitations and click Continue.
  7. Enter your contact info and then Continue.

When it's finished, you can follow Step 4 in this article: Export and convert your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop.

After the process, you can cancel the QuickBooks Online account if you no longer need it. You can use this link for the steps: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription or trial.

I'm just a few clicks away if there's anything else you need. Have a good one!
