Are you logged in using Internet Explorer? That is the only supported browser for export.

 

Granted even then it is glitchy

John-Pero is right, the best browser to export your data is internet explorer. We have an article that goes over the process of exporting and setting up your browser. I have been experiencing this issue as well. I built a windows 7vm from the ground up. followed the instructions using IE 11. I added the exceptions to trusted sites. I launch the site http://qbo.intuit.com/app/exportqbodatatoqbdt.  and hit the get started button. I have tried in private browsing as well as regular. It does not work

You may be experiencing some issues due to having Windows 7. By this, you'll have to upgrade to Windows 10 to convert from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop. I have tried 3 windows 10 machines and 1 windows 7 machine. The get started button does not work. it will not launch the active x control. is there a support# i can call at this point?
