How to make "snap a receipt" work? (Won't acknowledge the picture).

I have a quickbooks account. I have downloaded the online android app and am able to take a picture of the receipt.

Two things:

1) The app never acknowledges that a picture was taken as I never see "Done".

2) In my quickbooks online account there is no "box" under "receipts" that shows that I am set up to receive pictures of receipts. I have not been able to find a way to get that set up.

Helping out with the Receipts page is my specialty. It only takes a few easy steps to set up the feature for emailing your receipts into QuickBooks Online

 

Step 1: Register your email 

  1. Go to the Banking tab on the left-hand menu bar. 
  2. Select the Receipts section. 
  3. Press Register your email to get started

 

Step 2: Email/ Forward receipts to receipts@quickbooks.com

  1. Attach receipts or send them in the body of an email. 
  2. Send them to receipts@quickbooks.com. The process could take a couple of minutes. 
  3. Once it's in the system, QuickBooks will try to pull out the vendor, date, amount, and last four digits of the credit card number. On the Receipts page, you'll see the receipt in the For Review section. 

Note: The maximum file size is 20 MB. Also, you can send multiple photos in one email. 

 

Afterward, you're ready to review and categorize your receipts
