Re: HTTP Status 404 - Not Found Can't open employee tab or Payroll . How do I get rid of Error code?

Hello there, @winjr6.

I'm here to get you past this error and back to business.

When unusual errors occur while using QuickBooks, it's recommended to try accessing your company file on a private browser. This can help to isolate the cause of the behavior.

You can follow the keyboard shortcuts below to open a private browser:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift +N

If it works fine, you can go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. The stored cache can boost loading performances and even cause unexpected errors. For further insight into this process, such as the steps for supported browsers, I recommend the following article: Delete or disable cache and temporary internet files in your web browser.

If the issue continues after trying this process, I'd suggest reaching out to our Customer Care Team. They have the ability to look further into this and create an investigation ticket if necessary.

It's my priority that you're able to access your employees, so please feel free to post an update of how it goes. Have a good one!
