Hi deltamarina,

There could be a change in your printer setup that triggers this error. We can rename the Qbprint.qbp file to refresh the settings. Please follow the detailed steps in this article: Rename the Qbprint.qbp file. If the same thing happens, I would suggest downloading updates for your printer as well.

You can always go back to this thread if you're still experiencing printing issues in QuickBooks. Have a good day!

I am having the same issue.  The below error code comes up every time I print an invoice or e-mail an invoice.  It didn't always do this.  I can press OK and still print or e-mail but it is very annoying to have this message pop up every time.  I can't find Qbprint file even when I try to search hidden files and my printer doesn't have any updates.  I have tried changing the font on the forms but that doesn't help.  For example, I can select Time New Romans and the Castellar error message still comes up.  Castellar isn't even a font option in my QuickBooks Pro 2020.  Please help it's driving me nuts!

"The form you are about to print specifies the font {Castellar} which is not installed on this system. You may wish to install the font. Click OK to print anyway, or CANCEL to skip printing this form.

Thanks for joining in this conversation, @JessaKenn. I'm here to help you get past this error so you can print you print your invoices smoothly.

The error you received can be caused by several reasons, and this error mostly occurs in Windows 10. Below are the lists of possible reasons for Printing Library error:

  • A specific font isn't installed in your computer
  • Incompatible fonts in the invoice
  • The printer isn't supported
  • A driver is missing
  • Computer RAM is out of space

I can see that you've already tried changing the font on the forms and still didn't work. We can try it once again, and this time, let's ensure that the Font type should be the same for all the following items: Company NameCompany AddressLabels Data, Subtotals Labels, and Total Labels to avoid facing the same error.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the  Customers menu, then select Create Invoice
  2. Browse to the Formatting then select Customize Data Layout
  3. Select Basic Customization.
  4. Go to the Change the Font For section:
  • Click on Then click on Change Font
  • Go to Font and then click on a font type

To verify or change the whole template, you'll need to repeat the steps from 1 to 4, then click OK. Once done, you can now print the invoice without receiving the error.

In case the issue persists, I'd suggest you contact our QuickBooks Tech Support.

I'm also adding an article that can help you troubleshoot PDF and printing problems in case you encounter one in the future.
