I am having trouble exporting a report to excel. This has worked fine in the past but now the exported file does not contain any data.

Welcome to the QuickBooks family, @michael92.

I can get this fixed for you in no time. I've tried doing it on my end to check if the results are the same, but everything seems working fine.

There are also no ongoing reports from other users, similar to what you encounter when exporting to Excel. For now,  I suggest performing some basic troubleshooting steps to help isolate and fix the issue.

You can start with signing into your account through an incognito window. It allows you to access QuickBooks without using cookies.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift +N

If it works, I recommend you proceed with clearing the cache. There are times too much data can accumulate over time and cause issues when using QuickBooks.

For additional reference, I've attached an article you can use to learn more about exporting reports: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online.

Please know that I'll be here if you need assistance with anything else. Have a great one.

Thanks,

this was actual on my end... A client sent me a spreadsheet that set my Calculation to manual.  Since the Quickbooks report has formulas (i.e. =200) and not the number, that is way it was blank until I calculated the spreadsheet.  Sorry about that.

This was a mistake on my end.  Had a client send a spreadsheet that set my Calculate Value to manual.  Since the report has formulas (i.e. = 200) that is why I didn't see any numbers, but they were there.  Sorry about that.
