Let me share details about installing different versions of QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) on one computer, @vickie-durasole-.
You can install and run multiple versions (years) and editions (Pro, Premier, Enterprise) of QuickBooks on the same computer. Different versions can be open at the same time, whereas different editions must be opened one at a time.
Installing QBDT is different from converting or upgrading your company file. When you do an Express install for QBDT 2021, you won't lose any of the files you have on the Enterprise 2018. Though you'll have to make sure you create a backup copy of your 2018 files (for future use) before converting it to 2021.

Once installed, you'll have to run an update to get the latest release.
