Join nowI'm wondering if this is because they have an updated form 941 for the second quarter. I was able to still print payroll forms as of last Friday. However, I am now getting this exact error code when I am trying to print tax forms this morning.

Hello, and welcome to the Community, dainen-lifestyle.
I went ahead and did some research on your behalf. Currently, Intuit has no ongoing or solved investigations about this specific error. However, there's a resource of ours which has an identical message that accompanies the numeric code. You had mentioned encountering this when trying to get tax forms created and filed. To verify my understanding, are you receiving it when trying to print documents?
Our knowledge is that these types of errors occur if tax table form files are missing or damaged. I'll guide you through how to resolve the problem:
1. Visually check active/inactive items on the following lists for any invalid characters, such as # or blank spaces where there shouldn't be any.
2. Confirm your software is updated to it's most current release. When updating, ensure all updates are selected. Also try re-downloading the entire payroll update by hitting the Ctrl key and clicking your Update tab at the same time.
3. Obtain the latest tax table. From your Employees menu, select Get Payroll Updates.
4. After finishing all prior steps, perform a clean installation of QuickBooks Desktop in Selective Startup.
This is our solution for these kinds of problems. The only difference here is you're seeing a numeric code which Intuit hasn't been aware of. With that said, let me know how these steps work for you. I'll be here to help if you have any questions or additional information to provide. Have a wonderful day!
I am receiving the same error, hoping they will provide an update to fix this soon!
The error code is 10004

Getting same message. We are not trying to print the payroll forms, just trying to even create the quarterly payroll forms. Get get them created to even print etc. Made sure everything was updated, rebooted restarted quickbooks and rebooted computer. Still get message.
Reached on to them and no help at all. Sent me links to running payroll reports etc.
Same error and I have tried all the work arounds they are showing and none of them have worked!
I re-ran the updates holding down the control key and it worked. The error message didnt come up when I tried to send the payroll forms.
This worked for me. No more error message
We received the same error message when we tried to process the 2nd quarter tax forms and even when trying to print the 1st quarter forms. We were able to resolve the problem by doing a payroll update and quickbooks update.
I re ran the updates while holding down the Ctrl key and it worked for me. Thank you
I see no reference for this error code. Please advise

I received the same message in attempting to efile and epay the state unemployment, not even the 941 as it is one away for the end of the quarter. I was not printing, I was trying to open to file and pay.
Thank you for your help - I also followed your suggestion and was successful!!

I had the same issue trying to create the 2nd quarter 941 taxes. Has anyone tried the suggestions from Zack at QuickBooks to see if that helps.
I just did the Control Update that was suggested and it was a much longer update but now I can get to my form like in the past. Good luck to everyone!!
I am receiving the same error. I was working on this on Saturday no problem.
